NEW Remote Video Consultations
Due to the pandemic, we were compelled to come up with another way to meet our clients’ home staging needs. Dezigner Digz™ is pleased to offer a video consultation through FaceTime, Zoom or WhatsApp.
Dezigner Digz™ will schedule a time to connect with you on your video platform of choice. You will be asked to walk us through your home room-by-room. This comprehensive consultation provides you with the necessary information to prepare your home for sale. Items of discussion will include upgrades and minor repairs to undertake (if applicable), paint colour selection, furniture layout, de-cluttering, accessorizing, curb appeal and home staging tips.
We highly recommend that you take notes either during the consultation or right afterwards while the information is still fresh in your mind. Included with our remote video consultation is a 30-minute follow-up video call to answer any questions you may have and/or to review your work.
The feedback received to date from this consultation option has been so positive that we’ve decided to continue offering it post-pandemic. The great thing about this option is that you don’t have to live in our service area.
Do-It-Yourself Home Staging Consultations
™ specializes in DIY home staging consultations. This consultation is intended for the motivated owner who wants to prep and stage their own home. We believe in providing as much information as possible. You will be given an in-depth strategy for each room – right down to furniture layout suggestions and information on how to accessorize and stage. This is what sets us apart
In order to target as many potential buyers as possible, our first step will be to identify the demographic of your neighbourhood. For example, does your neighbourhood consist mostly of young professionals, families or retirees? This information will help us develop a plan that focuses on your most likely pool of buyers.
On consultation day, we will discuss items such as:
- Minor Repairs
- Paint Colour Selection
- Wall Coverings
- Window Treatments
- Curb Appeal / Landscaping
- Furniture Layout
(How best to make each room functional and more spacious.)
- De-cluttering / De-personalizing
(What to purchase, the colours to choose and the places to shop.)
- Showing Tips
As our consultation draws to an end, you may be given some "homework" to start on while your report is being prepared. You can expect to receive it within a few business days. This detailed report will outline the various items discussed during the consultation along with room-by-room instructions on how to stage your home.
Do-It-Yourself Follow-Up Appointment
Dezigner Digz™ offers an add-on service to our DIY Home Staging Consultation. This is for the homeowner who would like to have their work reviewed after carrying out our recommendations. During this appointment, we will provide feedback and assist with any last-minute styling that may be needed. This is a great option for those who feel they need some help with the finishing touches or want us to take a second look.
Home Staging / Property Preparation Consultations
Packed with loads of information, this report is left with you at the end of our appointment. Detailed room-by-room staging instructions are not included, however, you will be given recommendations on how to get your home ready for the staging process. Items discussed will include upgrades and minor repairs to undertake (if applicable), paint colour selection, wall coverings, window treatments, flooring, furniture layout, de-cluttering and curb appeal. At the end of this consultation, if you would like us to provide you with an occupied home staging quote, we'll put one together for you.
If we stage your home, the cost of the property preparation consultation will be deducted from the home staging fee.
Occupied Home Staging
Dezigner Digz™ will work with your existing furniture and accessories and stage the rooms that we feel will make the largest impact. You may be asked in advance to purchase a few additional accessories to assist us in the final styling of your home. We recommend, if possible, that you purchase items that can be used in your new home as well.
It’s important to note that all furniture removal/repositioning (if applicable), packing and cleaning must be done prior to staging day. Dezigner Digz™ will not be responsible for cleaning, moving heavy furniture or packing up items that should not be on display while your home is on the market. It is up to the homeowner to provide someone able to do this.
As part of the consultation process, you may receive some constructive advice. When it comes to something as close and personal as our own home, this can sometimes be difficult to hear. Dezigner Digz™ understands that and ensures that all information provided is shared in a respectful and supportive manner while being mindful of the ultimate goal: to sell your home quickly and for as much money as possible.
